My alimony is very low. What can I do, can I increase the alimony?

In alimony cases, if the courts decide on a fixed alimony, the amount of alimony might not be enough in changing economic circumstances due to for instance inflation. Two solutions have been introduced in the law to prevent this situation. The first is that the alimony is determined in an incremental manner while the alimony decision is taken. However, most of the time, the courts do not make such a decision due to the problems in practice. In case the the alimony fee is low while taking into consideration the current economic conditions the spouse can start a lawsuit for increasing the alimony. In the case of increasing the alimony, the judge will re-evaluate the alimony according to the conditions of the day and make a decision.
